Liquid Damage Repair
WHAT IS IT?
One of the most common problems people have with their laptops is damage caused by accidental spillages.
Sometimes it may appear that you have got away with it and your device still works after an incident. If not, help is at hand, but remember that the sooner we start work on it, the less serious the problem is likely to be.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Bring the laptop to us at Teleservice on Burton Road.
You will pay an inspection fee of £40 when you leave the item with us. We repair laptop main boards at component level, but only when this is the most economical way to proceed. If a new main board is the best option, we'll quote for that. Otherwise we'll get on with the repair.
The balance is only payable after the work is done and tested.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
When you leave your item with us, you will pay an inspection fee of £40. This amount will be deducted from the total payable when you collect your item. Most component level bopard repairs involving liquid damage cost between £100 - £180.
As a general rule of thumb, laptops that were cheaper to buy cost less to fix.
If replacing the motherboard is a more economic option, we'll quote for this instead.
ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?
The initial charge is non-refundable, but is deducted from the total cost of completed repairs.
We will carry out liquid damage component level board repair work up to £180 without contacting you. If the cost will be higher then we will provide an estimate first and you can decide if you wish to proceed.
